Common Drive ConveyorsCommon Conveyors leran more

Up to (4) conveyors can be coupled together and driven from a single gearmotor using a common drive shaft or coupled shafts.  This creates a single lane for handling parts.  Wide parts or pallets can traverse belts allowing for part access from below.

  • Conveyors move at same relative belt speed
  • Creates single lanes for handling parts
  • Conveyors can be of different widths and lengths

1100 Series Miniature Belt ConveyorDorner 1100 Series Miniature conveyors

The 1100 Series utilizes a unique technology that is the driving force behind miniature conveyors enabling the components to be so small.  This technology is the pinch drive mechanism.  The pinch drive is incorporated in both the End Drive conveyor and the Mid Drive conveyor and allows the conveyor to run with almost no belt tension.  Typical belt conveyors run under high tension.  Tension is needed for the drive roller to have enough traction to drive the belt.  However it is this tension that causes bearings and conveyor rollers to be oversized to handle the load.

The 1100 Series conveyors have end rollers that are only 5/8” in diameter.  When placed together, miniature conveyors can transfer a product as small as 7/8” in diameter.  In addition, both models can be equipped with 5/16” dual end rollers.  When placing these versions together a product as small as 5/8” in diameter can be transferred.

Flexible packaging product handling

Dorner Flexible packaging product handling download datasheet Dorner's industry leading product handling conveyor platforms are ideal for flexible packaging solutions. The conveyors can be engineered or configured to aid in the creation and efficiency of packaging lines manufacturing products in flexible packages. These packages are made of soft or flexible material in the form of a bag or pouch creating unique handling opportunities.

Dorner conveyors offer solutions for handling flexible packaging efficiently for orientation, rotation, standing up, laying down, 90 degree transfer, and elevation.

Vertical Movement:  Application involves the rapid incline of pouches from drop height of filling machines to working height or ceiling height.

Bottom-Less Pouch Handling:  Application involves the stable conveyance of pouches for inspection, printing, labeling or edge sealing.

Pouch Orientation or Turning: Application involves non-contact orientation of pouches, orientating them to accommodate various processes

Settling/Flattening:  Servo driven conveyor pulses back and forth dispersing or leveling the pouch contents for carton or box loading.

SmartPace Dynamic Pacing Conveyors

The SmartPace conveyor enhances packaged product orientation by receiving items and properly spacing them on the conveyor.

The conveyor uses HMI interface to control the spacing, speed and orientation of products. This gives users is the ability to merge multiple lanes together without product stops or gates – the entire process is smooth and seamless.

A Photoeye detects randomly spaced parts enter the conveyor. The conveyor’s servo motor control automatically varies the conveyor speed and conveyor junction placement to generate an evenly spaced part.
